What is holdback?
Holdback is a hidden payment from the manufacturer to the dealer — typically 2–3% of MSRP — paid after the vehicle sells. It lets the dealer sell at "invoice" and still profit.
What is dealer cash?
Dealer cash is an unadvertised incentive paid directly to the dealer. It's not shown on the invoice and is often stackable with customer incentives. Always ask for it.
